This album is a compilation of tracks from my first six recordings. It is a retrospective look at the last twenty years of my musical journey, which has connected me to people all over the world. I hope you enjoy this trip down memory lane, which begins right here in Mabou with a tune written by my grandfather, in the house I now share with my family.
Andrea is accompanied on this lively traditional album by her mom, Betty (MacMaster) Beaton on piano and Dave MacIsaac on guitar- two of Cape Breton's most revered and tasteful musicians.
Little Black Book is Andrea Beaton's fifth solo album and is comprised of all original compositions accompanied by piano, guitar and cello.
Branches grabs the listener right away with a dandy bunch of reels, and refuses to let go until all of the marches, jigs and reels have been played. High energy with a varied mix of tunes will keep your ears wanting more.
Recorded live at the Tap Inn in Scotland. In addition to some great fiddling, there are lively duets with piper Finn Moore and Piano accompaniment throughout by Troy MacGillivray.
Buddy MacMaster's niece, Natalie MacMaster's cousin, it's a great musical lineage to be a part of. A spirited performer, she has lived up to her live performance reputation by making a dynamite debut recording.
